- Due to the nature of infections it is impossible to guarantee a successful outcome for root canal treatment. However, under our guarantee if we provide this treatment for you and it fails within 3 years, as a goodwill gesture we will extract the tooth at no additional cost.
- If we restore a tooth with a filling and the tooth subsequently needs root canal treatment and therefore a new filling on top we will not charge for the filling on top.
- If we restore a tooth with a filling and the tooth subsequently needs root canal treatment and a core and a crown on top, we will not charge for the core.
- If we restore a tooth with a filling and the tooth subsequently requires a core and a crown, we will not charge for the core.
- If we restore one part of a tooth and a separate part breaks, although the two are unrelated, as a goodwill gesture we will restore the other part of the tooth under the guarantee.
- We will always advise you to have treatment that follows best practice. If you opt for treatment against this advice it will not be covered under the guarantee.
- You follow the treatment and recommended maintenance programme including attending two hygiene sessions in each year following completion of treatment.
- If a restoration fails due to neglect, decay, misuse, external trauma it will not be covered by the guarantee.
- Some specific cases may be excluded but you will be informed of this prior to having the treatment.
- If you clench or grind your teeth you will need to regularly use a bite guard to reduce the risk of breakages in order for the guarantee to be valid.
- Due to the high failure rate of post retained crowns these will not be covered by the guarantee.
- The guarantee entitles you to reparative treatment on the tooth, not a refund on treatment carried out.
- Our dentists at our practice must carry out any reparative work.
- Guarentee applies for a 3 year period commencing from date of initial treatment on tooth.
- The guarantee applies to treatment started after 16th October 2010.
- Some restorations are placed in order to protect teeth from wearing away. The restoration is placed so that it can wear down instead of the tooth. These restorations are not covered.
